Artisan Welder / Boiler Maker needed at Nelson Mandela Bay Metro

Qualifications and experience required:

• Trade Test Certificate Artisan Welder.
• Two to three years’ experience.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.

Special conditions associated to the position:

• Incumbent is required to work in all weather conditions.
• Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.

Job purpose:

• Performing the set-up, work-in-progress and completion of specialised task activities associated with Body Shop welding and repairs to heavy plant and vehicles and attending to routine/general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives.
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
