Assessor: Non-Medical Claims needed at Capitec Bank

Purpose Statement

• To improve claims operational excellence, increase customer satisfaction, minimize losses for Capitec Insurance through accurate and holistic assessment of all types of insurance non-medical claims (life, funeral and death), in accordance with terms and conditions of the respective policy/ies, legislative frameworks and goals, objectives, processes and standards sets by Capitec. 

Experience

• 3-5yrs years experience in assessing in assessing life insurance death claims, preferably within the context of fully underwritten products

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• A relevant qualification in Healthcare or Science

Knowledge
Minimum:

• Understanding of the long-term insurance industry and Life Cover claims handling processes, including the disability landscape
• Understanding of fully underwritten Life insurance policies, including underwriting criteria, exclusions, and conditions
• In depth understanding of medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and causes of death in the context of life insurance claims.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of relevant legal framework relating to non medical insurance claims 
• Understanding of the Insurance fraud landscape
• Investigative tactics, tools and methodologies
