Analytical skills:

  • Monitor sales data, by price, category, trend, consumer, etc., post season, in season and pre-season
  • Competitive report every season, analysing surrounding ftw market
  • Build a pricing hierarchy at the beginning of each season
  • Identify and understand sales and consumer trends and make recommendations
  • Monitoring the timing and scope of seasonal changes
  • Make recommendations and assist with merchandising
  • Develop supply strategies that will minimize stock outs while maximising inventory turns

Inventory Management:

  • Understand and maintain desired inventory levels of the assortment within each category for every month. Managing Store Capacities
  • Track Ecom stock, ensuring right product goes live at the right time
  • Manage and organising the sample room, keeping it in order and tidy
  • Merchandising of Showrooms (especially during sell in period)
  • Creating Merchandising boards for both retail and wholesale
  • Ensure plans are in place to meet marketing launches, promotional activation, etc.
  • Order Tracking and reporting
  • Assist with checking ATS (Available to Sell)
  • Assist with pricing structure for staff purchases and sample sales when necessary
  • Ensuring correct stock goes on sale each season
  • Weekly audit of stores each week to ensure correct product is displayed correctly
  • Catalogue creation every season
  • Handling/organising damaged stock
  • Weekly tracking of all key marketed stories with report back
  • Bimonthly store visits in Cape Town

General:

  • Maintaining a professional image whilst in the office and travelling
  • Assist with any ad hoc duties
  • Any other reasonable and lawful ad hoc tasks or duties that may be required from time to time

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Stores experience will be an advantage
  • A strong understanding of lifestyle footwear brands and the market opportunities within the retail, wholesale and Ecommerce sector
  • Strong administration skills
  • Strong merchant skills
  • Highly numerate and able to deal with large volumes of data
  • Organized and deadline driven with exceptional attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of supplier profiles
  • Must have good problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and concepts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance in a fast-paced environment
  • Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
  • Dependable, punctual and able to work flexible working hours
  • Valid Driver’s license and own transport
  • Willing to travel locally
