About the Role

This role provides strategic oversight of high-RPM academic data and manages the technical compliance of student registration workflows at the Musgrave campus. Utilizing Oracle for student record integration and Workday for administrative orchestration, the registrar ensures 100% compliance with DHET and institutional standards. Their leadership mitigates operational risk by ensuring the integrity of academic records and leveraging data to optimize the student enrollment experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • The Assistant Campus Registrar will be student centric and report directly to the Head of Campus.
  • The Registrar’s Office will provide the necessary support by means of SOPs, policies, planning, training, and system support requirements. QA and Campus audits will be conducted from time to time by the Registrar’s Office to ensure quality and parity on all STADIO campuses.
  • All school planning, system administration, student processes and academic policies are developed centrally and implemented by the Campus Registrar for each campus.

Student Applications:

  • Manage Admissions (new and returning)
  • CAT & RPL (new)
  • Registration (new and returning)

Student Assessments and Results:

  • Resubmissions and extensions
  • On campus written examinations/test
  • Graduation records and document verification

Student Support:

  • Q-Desk queries and special requests (SPA)
  • Grievances and complaints

Campus Administration:

  • Oversee Class Timetables
  • Orientation / onboarding
  • Implementation of SOP’s

Management and Leadership:

  • Manage SAS Team Leaders and administrators
  • Manage Programme Officers
  • Participate in workgroups, forums, and committees

Qualification and Minimum Requirements:

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric),
  • Relevant Degree or National Diploma, compulsory. 
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a Registrar/Deputy Registrar or senior administrative role in a higher education institution
  • The incumbent must have previous experience within a similar role.
  • Drive and self-motivation are critical in this role.
  • This position requires an individual who can pay close attention to detail and can work independently and accurately under pressure.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change.
  • Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful, and concise manner.
  • Committed to producing quality work.
  • Computer literate; experience and competency in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in the use of STADIO’s systems; Learner Management systems (LMS) and Student Information Management System (SIMS)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Higher education policy and regulatory environment (incl. HE Act, CHE criteria and frameworks, NQF Act, DHET regulations, SAQA, USAF and other regulations pertaining to foreign students.
  • Admission requirements incl. CAT and RPL
  • Academic Student administration and support functions (applications, registrations, examinations, results, graduation, certification, and alumni)
  • System set-up and maintenance of SIMS / CRM and LMS Systems
  • Rules and procedures pertaining to disciplinary proceedings & complaints
  • Legislation pertaining to personal information, consumer protection, information systems and technology, and information
     

Career Growth & Education

A degree in Public Administration, Higher Education Management, or Business is required, with growth supported by mastering educational governance. Career progression leads toward Campus Registrar or Academic Director roles within the private education sector. Participating in specialized bootcamps in digital education management and obtaining professional certifications through global platforms provides a pathway to senior leadership in international firms.

Salary & Financial Insight

Estimated monthly salaries range from R28,000 to R45,000, reflecting the technical and regulatory complexity of higher education management.
