Requirements:
- An NQF Level 6 qualification in Administration, Public Administration, or Public Management.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in administration.
- A valid and unexpired driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of policy development and implementation, administration processes, occupational health and safety (OHS), transport policy, and records management procedures in the public service.
- Understanding of the MISS Act and other government legislation.
- Knowledge of human resource management, financial management, and PFMA.
- Knowledge of techniques and procedures for planning and executing operations, programmes, and project management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of people and diversity management, as well as relationship management.
- Client orientation and customer focus.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Accountability and ethical conduct.
- Knowledge of analytical procedures.
Duties
- Provide administrative support functions in the Directorate: Operations Central.
- Manage transport functions in the cluster, including fleet contract management, subsidized vehicle management, and travel management.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the transport management policy.
- Manage facilities, including physical security and access control.
- Ensure that health and safety plans are in place.
- Manage building lease agreements, accommodation requests, and key accounts.
- Assist with the development and implementation of housing policy.
- Oversee records management by ensuring effective registry duties, efficient handling of incoming and outgoing mail, and maintenance of the departmental filing system.
- Ensure the provision of office services, including reception and switchboard operations, security services, procurement of goods and services, and cellphone administration.
- Supervise and oversee the work of subordinates, including training, development, and disciplinary management.
- Note: Shortlisted candidates will be required to perform a practical test.
