RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE(BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- To apply troubleshooting methods, routine maintenance and repairs on a fleet of vehicles, bakkies, trucks and forklifts
- Perform basic care and maintenance, such as services on the above vehicles according to service intervals.
- Vehicle diagnostics and reporting thereof.
- Advise necessary components, spares and parts required in order they can be sources and purchased.
- General workshop and mechanical duties as required by the Workshop Foreman.
- Maintain a neat and tidy workshop and workstation.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Grade 12
- Mechanical Qualification or Trade Test advantages.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the mechanical and workshop environment.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, diesel and petrol.
- Ability and acumen to work independently without supervision.
- Hydraulics advantages.
- A good knowledge and strong commitment to Health and Safety processes.
- Sound communication skills.
