Key responsibilities for the role may include:

Academic Operations

  • Manage procurement of and oversee regular audit of school’s academic resources (e.g., textbooks)
  • Manage systems for organising student data and ensure school is compliant with government and Nova Pioneer expectations
  • Manage logistics of student assessments and report cards
  • Support School Leader and leadership team with time-tabling

School Operations

  • Partner with School Leader and Global operations director to develop a school-wide operations vision that supports and operationalises the academic and cultural vision of the school
  • Hold primary accountability for various administrative and operational matters on campus
  • Partner with tech team and Global Ops to ensure that all necessary technology and equipment are in place before school opens each year and that students and staff have access to those supplies on an ongoing basis
  • Liaise with other central functions, like Property and Maintenance, to make sure that the physical needs of the campus and systems of operation are maintained
  • Maintain school inventory of main times, support procurement and launch readiness

School Finances

  • Work closely with School Leader to develop and actively manage school budget
  • Coordinate between Ops and Finance on procurement, approving purchases under a specific financial threshold and escalating urgent / critical requests as needed
  • Serve as first school-based point of contact regarding finance and work with Central Team to ensure financial compliance and reporting

Extramurals & Events

  • Maintain relationships with extramural vendors / service providers operating on campus and ensure ongoing adherence to contract and Nova Pioneer quality standards
  • Work with School Leader to develop vision for a robust sports programme on campus, and work with coaches, PE teachers, other school-based staff, and external service providers (as needed) to bring the vision to life
  • Coordinate with Central Team to help facilitate on-campus events such as Open Day, Campus Experience, and Teacher Selection Day
  • Coordinate with Marketing across various needs (e.g., uniforms, non-academic offerings)

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a school environment prefered, leadership role a huge plus
  • Experience as a teacher or in a school environment for 3+ years (primary or secondary school) – Degree in Education
  • Acted / worked in an HOD position at a school
  • Experience working with school time-tables or budgets/finance is a huge plus
  • Have access to a reliable car and a valid driver’s license

  • Excellent skills in G-Suite, with special capacity to manage basic excel sheets
  • Excellent time management and capacity to work independently
  • Able to project manage tasks and projects to completion
  • Able to coordinate among many different stakeholders
  • You have a proven track record of holding yourself and your teammates to high standards of operational excellence
  • You have excellent communication, relationship-building, and people management skills
  • You are a thoughtful planner able to multi-task, prioritise effectively, take initiative, and deliver for many stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • You are a proactive, creative, and measured problem-solver. You have an ability to quickly and calmly identify and analyse problems, and to recommend or implement effective solutions
