Associate needed at Robert Walters

The Role

• The successful candidate will support on a wide range of matters with their aviation, franchise and general business clients.
• There is also opportunity to be involved in regulatory and compliance work and commercial based litigation.
• They will be required to guide and develop the skills of the firm’s candidate attorney, brief counsel, hold consultations with clients and prepare notices and pleadings.

Qualifications & Skills

• Admitted Attorney with between 2 and 5 years’ experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clarity of commercial thinking: understanding the commercial drivers of client’s business.

The Team

• Our client’s team has experience with transactions involving all types of business, and on the aviation side with aircraft and financing transactions and structures.
• They act for mostly established and well known private companies, airlines, aircraft lessors, franchisors and insolvency practitioners.
• They also advise and act on commercial disputes, and act on behalf of major international debt companies.

Essential Skills & Experience

• The successful candidate will be an admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the High Court of South Africa
• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales will be an advantage
• Experience working with aviation clients will be advantageous; and
• Caselines and Court Online experience mandatory.
