KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching and learning:

• Presenting undergraduate & postgraduate modules. Development of new modules and updating of study guides.

Research and Innovation:

• Supervision of postgraduate students and the publication of research papers in accredited journals.

Organisational & management tasks:

• Assist with management tasks and also with Mentoring of junior staff members and involvement in university/faculty committees.

Minimum requirements

• A PhD (NQF level 10) in Applied Mathematics with a focus in either PDEs, Numerical Analysis, Dynamical systems, Fractional Calculus or Financial Mathematics.
• A minimum of 6 years’ experience lecturing undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Supervision of Masters and PhD students.
• A track record of research publications.
