Possible Tasks within this Role
- Liaise and interact daily with the media to heighten visibility and enhance the image, products and thought leadership of Audi SA.
- Plan, implement and report on product launch events, engagements and activities with the support of the Audi Events Manager.
- Promote and enhance Audi brand by sharing written, photographic and video content through various channels and activities.
- Monitor, analyse and report on product and brand publicity generated through AVE and Social Media monitoring.
- Act as company spokesperson for Audi SA and support top management in the same through their engagements and on LinkedIn.
- Effectively develop, implement, manage and report on Audi SA’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategy.
- Effectively develop, implement, manage and report on Audi SA’s Social Media platforms with agency partners.
- Facilitate customer service / experience concerns which have received heightened attention in the media and on Social Media channels, including drafting and circulating for approval by various departments the official responses on behalf of Audi SA.
- Curate and compile Audi brand content (lifestyle, consumer, corporate and product) for Audi SA owned and internal channels.
- Effective management and campaign support of Audi Brand Ambassadors, Influencers, Friends of the Brand and other publicity programmes and media partnership initiatives which may arise.
- Planning, management, reporting and forecasting of Audi PR, Social Media and CRM budgets on a monthly basis.
- Oversee the operational management of the Audi SA Press demonstrator fleet with support from VW Group Communications and regional Fleet Managers, including the maintenance and repairing of vehicles, against utilisation targets.
- Provide support to Audi brand marketing campaigns, projects and events and to leverage any PR, Social Media and CRM opportunities which may be presented.
- Effectively manage the PR, Social Media and CRM agencies with regards to promoting, building and integrating the Audi brand image and brand agenda points within the broader marketing strategy to achieve the brand metric target
Qualification requirements
- A formal 3-year National diploma or Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in Marketing / Communications / Journalism / Public Relations
- A relevant post-graduate qualification / Honours degree would be advantageous
Experience needed
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive Marketing and/or Communications with a record of good relationships with SA journalists
