Duties and Responsibilities

Coordination of Audit Teams:

  • Coordinate and manage audit teams located across various African countries, primarily English-speaking regions.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and responsibilities among team members.
  • Monitor the progress of audit engagements and provide support as needed to ensure timely completion.

Liaison with Central/Group Auditors:

  • Collaborate with central auditors to align audit strategies, objectives, and reporting requirements.
  • Communicate any deviations from audit plans and seek guidance as necessary.
  • Act as a bridge between central and regional audit teams.

Compliance and Deadlines:

  • Ensure adherence to audit instructions, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Monitor and track audit deadlines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Address any issues or challenges that may affect audit timelines proactively.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with client management throughout the audit process.
  • Report audit progress, findings, and conclusions to client stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Business Development:

  • Respond to audit requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential clients with compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Identify and evaluate new potential clients in the market who align with our service offerings and capabilities.
  • Promote our audit capacities and value proposition to potential clients through presentations, meetings, and networking opportunities.

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance, or related field.
  • CA (SA) / Completed SAICA Articles or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an international audit firm, with exposure to international group audits.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is essential for effective communication.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
