Responsibilities

  • Generating new business from brands and agencies
  • Maintaining some existing clients in addition to bringing your own client base
  • Running with a campaign from strategising and pitching through to launch, billing and reporting
  • Liaison with agencies, brands, industry bodies, third parties and internal departments.
  • Work within a team, reporting to a manager and answerable to the CEO
  • Manage personal sales pipeline.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and report to management in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Share customer/ industry feedback and insights with internal partners.
  • Identifying relevant opportunities and capitalizing on Group product set

Requirements

  • Ability to understand original advertising solutions and be proficient within a month
  • B2B sales experience is essential.
  • Three years+ selling call Centre solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and close complex packages.
  • Knowledge of internet technologies and the online advertising sales market.
  • Experience in selling to clients at a senior management/ director level.
  • The ability to apply creative solutions to advertising briefs and create strong bespoke sales packages in a highly competitive marketplace.
  • Established relationships with Cape Town agencies and clients
  • Qualification in sales / advertising or relevant experience essential
  • Agency knowledge / agency relationships

Personal Skills/Attributes:

  • Expert Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising concepts such as Analytics, DFP, Facebook, Google, AdWords
  • Grasp of rates (CPM, CPC, CPV, CPI etc)
  • Understanding of recent advertising concepts and trends regarding audience data, legislation, beaconing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Consistent performer with a proven track record.
  • Excellent relationship builder.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Target driven.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Publisher and insurance experience
  • Motivated and ability to work independently.
  • Able to work remotely when required
