Responsibilities
- Generating new business from brands and agencies
- Maintaining some existing clients in addition to bringing your own client base
- Running with a campaign from strategising and pitching through to launch, billing and reporting
- Liaison with agencies, brands, industry bodies, third parties and internal departments.
- Work within a team, reporting to a manager and answerable to the CEO
- Manage personal sales pipeline.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and report to management in a timely and consistent manner.
- Share customer/ industry feedback and insights with internal partners.
- Identifying relevant opportunities and capitalizing on Group product set
Requirements
- Ability to understand original advertising solutions and be proficient within a month
- B2B sales experience is essential.
- Three years+ selling call Centre solutions
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and close complex packages.
- Knowledge of internet technologies and the online advertising sales market.
- Experience in selling to clients at a senior management/ director level.
- The ability to apply creative solutions to advertising briefs and create strong bespoke sales packages in a highly competitive marketplace.
- Established relationships with Cape Town agencies and clients
- Qualification in sales / advertising or relevant experience essential
- Agency knowledge / agency relationships
Personal Skills/Attributes:
- Expert Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
- Knowledge of advertising concepts such as Analytics, DFP, Facebook, Google, AdWords
- Grasp of rates (CPM, CPC, CPV, CPI etc)
- Understanding of recent advertising concepts and trends regarding audience data, legislation, beaconing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Consistent performer with a proven track record.
- Excellent relationship builder.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Target driven.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Publisher and insurance experience
- Motivated and ability to work independently.
- Able to work remotely when required
