Key Responsibilities:
- Managing of customer key accounts/relationships
- Achieving sales budgets
- Regular customer branch and head office visits/meetings
- Cold calling on new customer prospects
- Assisting with the marketing function (advertising opportunities/trade shows)
- Pricing negotiation with buying head office and direct customers
- Ensuring customer orders are placed, and stock rotation is well managed at customers.
- Assisting with co-ordinating orders with the Johannesburg depot in line with the order/delivery cycle
- Follow-up on payments from customers where required.
- Keeping the business up to date with the general market and competitor activities
- Proven experience in relationship management and development.
- Some travelling to see customers in other regions.
- Self-starter with the energy to work and grow with the company.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Grade 12 with a relevant post matric qualification being advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales environment dealing with the commodity products (preferably dairy commodities).
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Proven experience in relationship management and development.
- Knowledge of logistics and transport negotiations.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to the Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West and KZN regions.
- Self-motivated and energetic.
- Intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
