Job Description
As a Boilermaker/Plater OC you will be accountable for but not limited to:

• Attending and conducting safety meetings
• Participating in risk assessments
• Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required
• Ensuring that material, spares, and equipment are available and applying the appropriate tools to complete the tasks
• Completing job cards and ensuring effective teamwork while performing work to the required standards and specifications
• Complying with environmental requirements
• Ensuring proper and adequate on the job training and coaching is provided to subordinates
• Maintain a high quality of work

This role is in the Engineering department at a C2 level reporting to the Boilermaker Senior Engineering Foreman.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with maths and physical science or a Technical N2 Trade Specific (4 subjects)
• Recognised Boilermaker or Plater Trade Test Certificate

To be successful, you will have the following experience:

• Completed a formal learnership training programme

Additional Information

• Basic Computer Literacy
• Valid South African Driver’s license
• This role will require you to do standby duties and work overtime and shifts when required
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills in English
• If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
