About the Role
This role serves as a frontline financial advisor, driving the growth of wealth management and insurance portfolios within the Vryheid region. Utilizing Salesforce for lead management and Workday for internal compliance tracking, the consultant ensures that all client interactions meet strict regulatory standards. Their ability to analyze financial data and mitigate operational risk is vital for maintaining the group’s reputation and achieving regional sales targets.
What will you do?
- Promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM)’s products and increase market share through sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a Branch context.
- Creating opportunities for client optimisation and cross selling of value-added services.
- Responsible for Retail Branch Sales delivery and in-branch client service and client retention.
- Ensure compliance, quality, and risk management.
- Monthly planning and reporting of sales and service activities in the Branch.
- Identify key internal and external stakeholders (Area Managers, Business Owners, activation sites, community forums, etc.) and determine effective engagement tactics that will contribute to building and maintaining relationships.
Experience
- 1 year experience in a sales or marketing capacity
- Experience within insurance branches an advantage
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12)
- RE5 advantageous
- FAIS Compliant (Wealth Management) as per DOFA requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
- Client service.
- Sales and cross-selling tactics and strategies (client optimisation).
- Knowledge on the Insurance landscape including regulatory requirements and guidelines for selling and providing advice would be ideal.
- Knowledge on insurance products would be advantageous.

Professionals can advance to Branch Manager or Wealth Portfolio Manager roles by obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (CFP). Salary & Financial Insight
Estimated monthly basic salaries range from R15,000 to R25,000, with total compensation significantly increased by uncapped commissions and performance incentives.
