Your responsibilities will include:

Operational Duties: 

  • Responsible for the overall supervision of Johannesburg TDT operations and all other secondary roles which flow from this function.
  • Ensure that customer orders are collected in full within five (5) minutes of entering the department
  • Management of Q-minder system
  • Ensure customers have satisfactory experience when collecting from the facility
  • Manage customer expectations
  • Manage customer aged orders within prescribed parameters
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Must continually work to promote the orderliness and cleanliness of the work area and maintain all company standards.
  • Maintain meeting plan with staff. Meetings are focused on KPI management and other operational feedback.
  • Works closely with management to identify and resolve all issues and ensure quality service to our customers.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • You may from time to time be requested to perform tasks outside your normal function, which will be to the benefit of the total operation team.
  • You are to perform your duties with great responsibility and care as well as with loyalty towards your employer.

Cost Management: 

  • Manage daily staff and overtime efficiently to ensure labour cost are controlled.
  • Ensure that resource productivity is measured and reported to eliminate waste.

Reporting & Admin: 

  • Extracts data and generate reports which will assist in performance tracking and decision making.
  • All administrative documentation is labelled and filed as per procedures.
  • All daily, weekly and monthly reports/ meeting minutes are up to date

People Management:

  • Trains and supervise employees to carry out the functions under their control.
  • Ensure that signed Job Descriptions are on file for each of your staff members.
  • Ensure that all staff are at work and attendance is 100%. All absent staff to have suitable corrective action to be taken consistently.
  • All overtime and acting allowance must be approved before work is done
  • Measure and manage staff through formal staff appraisals, development, coaching and disciplinary procedures.

SHE, Risk Quality & 5S Duties: 

  • Ensure 5S housekeeping standards are implemented and maintained
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate and/or qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics and/or Fleet Management (or similar) will be advantageous
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Fleet Control
