What we’re looking for:
- This role will report to the Marketing Manager based in Cape Town. The incumbent will be responsible for enhancing the Marketing Capability to support the Commercial Objectives of the Pepsico Maize Business. The role requires someone comfortable operating in a matrix environment, collaborating with various Capabilities, including, Demand Accelerator – to create a strong Go-To-Market advantage, Commercialisation – to ensure timely development of innovations, Legal and Regulation – to ensure compliance with policies and regulations, Control – to maintain adherence to financial controls.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with Partner Agencies to plan and execute marketing strategies, managing Brand Communication across traditional ATL and digital media platforms, controlling the budget to achieve efficiencies, and serving as the primary contact and representative for the White Star Super Maize Brand.

Qualifications
What will qualify you for the role:
- 5 years experience, preferably within FMCG
- 3 year tertiary Marketing qualification – Diploma / Degre minimum
- Sound knowledge of marketing principles. Knowledge and understanding of consumer and shopper behavior in each Category across LSM Profiles (high-, middle- and low income segments.
- Media options and consumption habits in each Category.
- Commercial astuteness to be able to manage brand activites versus commercial ROI.
- Understanding of the entire value chain to be able to develop fit-for-purpose brand solutions.
- Ability to interpret data, such as Nielsen, to detect changes in trends.
- Project Management skills.
- Trade intelligence: knowledge of different trade channels, characteristics, performance drivers, shopper profiles within each.
