Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Brand Strategy and Planning
  • Understand how to translate business objectives into brand/marketing strategy and interventions
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the brand strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of annual marketing plans and 3-5 year strategic plans.
  • Execution of strong Flash plans across different channels, for different audiences and in line with different product/service categories.
  • Campaign Design and Management
  • Develop & launch brand campaigns, in line with strategy and brand vision.
  • Develop and implement content strategies for your product/service brand
  • Drive brand consistency and overall brand awareness across all campaigns, channels and to all relevant target audiences
  • Write effective strategic and creative briefs, guide creative development process and evaluate creative work against the brand strategy and brief.
  • Develop strong, clear campaign messaging that encourages the desired behaviour change.
  • Work with digital marketing team to analyse key marketing metrics (CPP, CPM), quality, and overall campaign performance.
  • Evaluate, negotiate, select and manage outside resources necessary to execute the marketing plan where necessary.
  • Accountable for budget management and the delivery of KPIs and agreed targets.
  • Market Research and Analysis
  • Analyse sales and market data to understand impact of campaigns on brand sales and help identify untapped opportunities for new product launches.
  • Gain/obtain customer and product usage insights, identify new opportunities, build relevant customer personas through research, surveys and interviews.
  • Partake in regular field visits to meet customers.
  • Draw on sound market intel & competitor knowledge to identify opportunities and drive strategic decisions for marketing campaigns.
  • Drive and partake in any consumer research initiatives aimed at getting a more thorough understanding of who your customers are.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Ongoing communication and presentations on campaigns and tactics to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing Manager, creative studio, digital marketing team and 3rd party agencies to create and implement all aspects of the annual marketing plans across the group.
  • Lead and manage junior brand manager/s where relevant

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant degree/tertiary education e.g. BCOM Marketing
  • Minimum of 4 – 6 years Brand Management experience required
  • Must have experience in any of these areas: Content marketing and B2B Partnerships

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Experience in formal retail and B2B Partnerships
  • Fintech familiarity advantageous
  • Main market brand experience advantageous
