Establish branch as preferred supplier

• Do market research to stay relevant
• Building and maintaining good relations with clients and relevant stakeholders

Acquiring of new business

• Develop and implement an effective market strategy
• Apply adequate Risk management and present a thorough presentation to the prospective clients
• Closing deals

Retain existing business

• Regular visits to clients, and building and maintaining good relationships.
• Effective service and feedback/advice.
• Review relevant policies for renewals (Apply risk management, negotiate renewal terms with insurers).
• Handling escalated claims/incidents.

Effective management of Personnel

• Ensure adequate product knowledge.
• Ensure adequate compliance through identifying gaps and development skills requirements.
• Identify personnel requirements.
• Execute staff administration.
• Effective management of processes, systems and identifying gaps
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Financial management

• Acquiring of new business with focus on Commercial, Agri and Crop insurance.
• Monitor financial achievements, rectify deviations, reporting on financial performance.
• Retain existing business through effective advice and service.
• Review, preparation, and successful retention of relevant policies for renewals.

Requirements

• Experience: 3 years relevant experience.
• Qualification: Grade 12 (NQF level 4) plus FIAS RE5. Candidates with Short Term Insurance Program (NQF level 5) will receive preference. Knowledge of short-term insurance.
