- Matric/Grade 12
- 5+ years of experience as a Broker Consultant or similar within the Short-Term Insurance industry.
- RE5 and relevant credits
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
Knowledge, Skills and Behavioural Attributes/Requirements:
- Proficient in industry-standard insurance policies.
- Strong independent work ethic with accountability to meet KPI targets for new business and Broker onboarding.
- Be able to work efficiently and accurately to deadlines.
- Willing to work unsociable hours if required ie put in extra time if required to complete tasks and/or attend networking/marketing events after business hours.
- Good command in English with excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
What key performance areas require
- Sign on and onboard new Brokers
- Liaise with Brokers
- Manage Broker portfolios
- Provide all quotes for new business using Monitor Quoting Templates
- Identify and secure new Brokers and business opportunities (this may include cold calling of new Brokers as well as following up on new leads)
- Conduct policy risk analysis
- Assist in achieving its growth objectives in a sustainable way
- Monitor Broker and Policy Loss Ratios on a continual basis.
