  • Matric/Grade 12
  • 5+ years of experience as a Broker Consultant or similar within the Short-Term Insurance industry.
  • RE5 and relevant credits
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

Knowledge, Skills and Behavioural Attributes/Requirements:

  • Proficient in industry-standard insurance policies.
  • Strong independent work ethic with accountability to meet KPI targets for new business and Broker onboarding.
  • Be able to work efficiently and accurately to deadlines.
  • Willing to work unsociable hours if required ie put in extra time if required to complete tasks and/or attend networking/marketing events after business hours.
  • Good command in English with excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate

What key performance areas require

  • Sign on and onboard new Brokers
  • Liaise with Brokers
  • Manage Broker portfolios
  • Provide all quotes for new business using Monitor Quoting Templates
  • Identify and secure new Brokers and business opportunities (this may include cold calling of new Brokers as well as following up on new leads)
  • Conduct policy risk analysis
  • Assist in achieving its growth objectives in a sustainable way
  • Monitor Broker and Policy Loss Ratios on a continual basis.
