What will you do?
- This role will report to the Business Manager.
- Your primary focus will be building a supporting portfolio of brokers to increase new business. The Broker Consultant is the interface between the brokers and Sanlam and strives to achieve the business objectives in a dynamic, innovative and high-performance environment.
- As a Broker Consultant, you will play a third party marketing role to promote Sanlam products to Brokers, with a primary focus of building a portfolio of supporting brokers, by forming trusting and co-operative relationships that enhance new business opportunities whilst supporting and up-skilling Brokers with the relevant information, tools and technologies that will enable them in their practice.

What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification and Experience:
- Completed Business/Commerce/Marketing degree
- Preferably Post graduate diploma in Financial Planning/RFP3/Wealth Management 3
- Goal and target motivated
- Sales and marketing orientation
- Natural relationship-builder
- At least three years Broker Consultant experience and currently in a Broker Consultant role
Knowledge and Skills:
To be successful you will need to demonstrate good experience in:
- Ability to build a portfolio of brokers
- The financial services industry, specifically in life insurance
- Marketing principles and sales skills in order to meet your targets
- Experience in third-party marketing
- Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge
- Willingness to travel
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and reliable motor vehicle
