Build & Release Engineer – KZN needed at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities:

• Automate and optimize software build and deployment, minimizing time from commit to customer.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and train developers for greater efficiency.
• Develop and maintain a streamlined software release pipeline to reduce feedback loops.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code deployments and educate the team on tool usage.
• Ensure repeatability of the release management process and scale the pipeline for more users.
• Collaborate across teams for effective project management, problem-solving, and communication.

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, BComm in Business Information Systems, or a high-quality Technikon Diploma
• 3+ years in a development environment, particularly in fast-paced, agile settings.
• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, AWS Cloud and virtualization.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms.
• JavaScript, .Net (C#), Python, PowerShell, Bash.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, and Kubernetes.
• Collaboration & Development Tools; Source Control: Git (distributed). Build Tools: GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Deployment Tools: Octopus, Ansible, Salt, Terraform, Rundeck, Helm.
