Job Description    

  • An exciting opportunity has become available for a high-impact Generalist Business Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will not just document requirements, you will own the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) across multiple streams. From technical specifications to user adoption and regression testing, process mapping,documentation and change management. You will be the bridge between our business units, the internal IT team and external development partners.

Qualifications    

  • 5 years in Business/Systems Analysis, preferably within a Retail environment.
  • Relevant Tertiary IT Qualification Certificate or Diploma in Business Process Analysis is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

  • Experience with general ERP structures is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Business Central &or Navision (NAV), LS Retail and SQL is highly preferred. Experience navigating different roles – Project Manager, Tester, Analyst and Trainer.
  • Understanding code logic, database queries and understand API structures
  • Ability to handle high-pressure release cycles and after-hours checks when necessary.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities    

  • Lead the elicitation of requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications (data flows, integration points and logic) for developers.
  • Own the delivery of system enhancements from concept to deployment. Manage project milestones, feasibility assessments and vendor deliverables (including Pepkor NexTech and external partners).
  • Take full responsibility for the stability of our systems. Create and maintain rigorous test scripts, coordinate regression testing and ensure zero-trade-impact deployments.
  • Analyze existing business processes to identify gaps between current and group systems and processes. Champion the “To-Be” processes and manage the system and organizational change required to get the business to adopt new systems.
  • Act as the primary liaison between HODs, business and technical teams. Manage expectations, translate technical constraints to business language and hold vendors accountable for delivery.
  • Supply users with skills and knowledge of processes and systems via training sessions and workshops.
  • Be confident & proficient with h UAT, functional and integration testing.
