Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Healthcare Management, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the healthcare or medical aid administration industry.
- Coaching/management experience

Duties and Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities in the healthcare and medical aid sectors.
- Analyze industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities to inform business strategies. Identify potential clients as well as strategic partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and refine products and services tailored to the healthcare industry.
- Provide feedback from the market to help shape product offerings and ensure they meet industry standards.
Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth in the healthcare industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare provid-ers, medical aid schemes, and corporate partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions that meet client needs. Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.
Client Relationship Management:
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with existing clients and partners to ensure re-tention and satisfaction.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring they receive optimal service.
- Identify and engage with potential partners to expand the company’s reach in the healthcare sector.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to benefit both the company and its partners.
Drive digital transformation:
- Champion the adoption of innovative digital solutions, such as online portals, mobile apps, and automated claim processing systems, to enhance customer experience and improve op-erational efficiency. Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including sales performance, market trends, and potential growth areas. Present business development strategies and progress updates to executive team.
