  • The Business Development Representative is a key position within the organization and directly contributes to the success of our global sales team. The role entails cold calling and follow-up capabilities for identifying suitable prospects, generating leads/appointments that lead to a rapid increase in new business. The ideal candidate will be a team player and consistently exhibit attention to detail, initiative, and resourcefulness in constructing the Company’s sales pipeline. 
  • This role is a 3-month fixed term position that is office-based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will also be required to work from 2pm to 10pm SAST

How you will make a difference:  

  • Research and identify companies that are growing and expanding based on new job posting.
  • Research companies and identify key stakeholders and compile their data.
  • Execute all aspects of the inside side sales cold calling and prospecting process for the assigned accounts to maximize the conversion of qualified prospects into telephone appointments and meetings.
  • Work directly with the Sales representative in scheduling appointments, attendance at meetings and assistance with follow up as appropriate.
  • Qualify opportunities and build relationships with key executives (e.g., CEO’s, CFO’s, COO’s, Director’s, Controller’s) and stakeholders in support of quality relationships and the growth of the companies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Work closely with sales management to ensure sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies.

What will make you stand out:   

  • Experienced in B2B inside sales or customer support.
  • Experienced working in SAAS sale, Fintech, or Tech sales.
  • Ability to source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and email campaigns.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Ready to work USA ET time zone: 2pm to 10pm SAST
