What the day will look like
- Understanding the needs of the “high net worth” individual in respect of short-term insurance.
- Source partnerships and develop HNW new business opportunities in collaboration within Personal Lines, as well as Commercial & Specialty business units to achieve HNW new business targets in line with Aon strategy.
- Works with National Sales Call Center on achievements to ensure HNW sales targets are met.
- Ensure delivery on Aon United strategy through driving cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
- Management of a team of Private Brokers
- Ensuring excellent client service delivery within the team to maintain high client satisfaction levels and client retention.
- Setting and achievement of revenue growth budgets.
- Responsibility for resource planning of staff.
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of consultants.
- Monthly call and renewal and desk audit with a view to monitoring the accuracy of work, the quality of advice and adherence to MOS, underwriting mandates and processes.
- Resolving client complaints and escalating as required.
- Resolving client queries raised by consultants and escalating where required.
- Ensuring all staff can provide expert and professional advice in respect of cover needs, policy conditions and exclusions.
- Developing relationships with Insurers
- Negotiating cover and rates with Insurers.
- Understanding and following the Aon Leadership Model and taking ownership of personal development.
- Maintaining personal and professional development.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
Qualifications.
- FAIS Compliant.
- A minimum of Grade 12 Matric Certificate or equivalent.
- RE1.
- RE5 would be advantageous
- A relevant bachelor’s degree would be advantageous
- Registration as a Licentiate with the IISA
- Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
- Comply with the applicable fit and proper as per the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act.
Knowledge.
- Very good knowledge and understanding of all aspects of personal insurance.
- Knowledge and understanding of Insurance legislation.
- Advanced computer literacy with advanced experience in MS Word and Excel.
- Well-developed understanding and knowledge of the claims processes for personal lines.

- Conduct meetings and make presentations (both verbal and written)
- Experience in new business development (Short Term Insurance)
- Proven experience as a team leader or manager (At least 4 years).
