Buyer needed at Pollock & Associates

You will be stationed at the manufacturing facility and report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

• Essential that you are a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in raw materials procurement within the FMCG/Pharma/Cosmetic manufacturing industry.  

Key responsibilities

• include sourcing raw materials, equipment, and consumables, negotiating favourable terms with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards. You will also be responsible for managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and addressing any issues.
• You must be familiar with import/export procedures and proficient in using procurement software, such as SYSPRO, to optimise stock levels and prevent shortages.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside a solid understanding of import/export procedures and industry regulations.
• You will compile monthly reports, ensure on-time deliveries, and stay updated on market trends and emerging raw material technologies. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are critical. 
• You will also be required to stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies in raw materials.
