Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar import / export role working with many products (e.g. over 1,000 SKU’s), suppliers and industry players across the supply chain.  
  • Computer literate (Excellent Excel skills)
  • Netstock or similar forecasting system experience is important.
  • Experience in the beauty or FMCG industry.
  • Pastel experience is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
  • Manage the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained by implementing inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and maintain metrics and KPIs to measure supply chain performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and set up interviews with them and the HOD to discuss future business.
