Job Description

  • RPO Recruitment’s client, leading and well-established Quantity Surveying firm based in Johannesburg is seeking a Candidate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation.
  • Support the senior QS team in cost planning, contract administration, and project cost control.
  • Conduct measurements, valuations, and progress assessments.
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and consultants throughout all project stages.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual requirements, and quality procedures.

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution
  • Registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ post-graduate experience on commercial, mixed-use, or similar projects
  • Proficiency in WinQS, DimensionX, and MS Office
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and team-focused approach
