Cellulose Preparation Operator needed at Saint-Gobain Africa

Why do we need you ?

• Ensure that production is done according to the Production Plan
• Process, HMI and Equipment understanding of pulping and refining steps
• Loading and operation of pulper
• Handling and prepping of cellulose bales
• Ensure the correct recipe settings are being used for pulper
• Start-up, continuous and shut-down activities of the pulper, refiners, cycle tanks and cellulose storage tanks
• Adjust process parameters for the pulper and refiner
• Operating forklift
• Blending of cellulose
• Conduct in-line quality tests and operational inspections as required
• Ensure that material produced are to an acceptable standard and free from defects
• Quality checks and inspections
• Troubleshooting operation issues and quality defects
• Operation of silica milling plant
• Start-up, continuous and shut-down activities of the silica sand milling step
• Operation of FEL

Is this job for you ?

• The ideal candidate must have a completed Matric and possess a FLT Drivers licence as well as a certificate and licence for Front End loader. It would be advantageous should the candidate have a certificate for Overhead Crane Operation.
• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces. The ideal candidate should have at least two years’ experience in production and have some knowledge on maintenance.
