Your role and responsibilities

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market (global/regional) to improve ABB’s market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. Each day, you will plan and ensure the execution of the business area/division sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the related Channel Sales organization.
  • The work model for the role is: Onsite
  • This role is contributing to the Process Automation in Longmeadow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Implement the agreed channel sales strategy and budget.
  • Contribute to the identification & achievement of appropriate channels and targets.
  • Contribute to achieving key targets (e.g. volume, prices, mix) for the channel in the specified countries and segments.
  • Create detailed business plans, implement actions with regular follow-up.
  • Contribute independently to sales negotiations and negotiate frame agreements.
  • Identify and evaluate channel partners (as per agreed ABB policies and standards including digital and excitation), together with Sales Director & appoint them..
  • Regularly report progress against channel strategy, plans and budgets.
  • Conduct analyses on channel activity and takes ownership for solving problems
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams and execute those activities that require channel/segment partner participation.
  • Implement the planned communication, promotion and training activities in the channel/segment.
  • Customer relations: Drive strategic partnerships, develop personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing
  • 5 -10 years’ experience in Process Automation and exposure working with Channel Partners.
  • Strong experience in Energy and Process Industries.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Preference will be given to EE candidates.
