Job Description

• Charge Hand Building and Facilities Maintenance 
• An exciting vacancy exists at Kimberley Airport for Charge Hand Building and Facilities Maintenance within the Operations Management division.

Key Performance Output

The successful candidate reporting to the Manager Maintenance will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Plan, schedule, and supervise / co-ordinate team activities
• Ensure contractors work in a safe manner.
• Monitor service providers’ daily activities according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and report deviances
• Ensure compliance to relevant statutory and legislative regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), operational standards, policies, and practices.
• Mitigate risk to limit injuries.
• Manage operational risks related to relevant area.
• Conduct regular inspections of the environment and implement remedial action.
• Respond to occurrences, incidents, and accidents in a timely manner.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules.
• Carry out maintenance activities according to maintenance plan as well as ad-hoc activities.
• Report on safety / risk / operational deviances.
• Inspect and monitor infrastructure according to maintenance schedules.
• Implement remedial actions where required.

Technical Skills and Experience

The challenges posed by this position require the successful candidate to have the following:

• The successful candidate must have a valid Matric (Grade 12) qualification 
• A minimum of 3 years’ operational experience in Maintenance is essential.
• Supervisory experience will be advantageous.   
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
• Code B Driver’s license would be advantageous
