Chef De Partie – Pastry needed at Crew Life at Sea

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present high-quality pastries and desserts in accordance with company standards and recipes
• Assist in menu planning and development, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and guest preferences
• Oversee and manage the pastry station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards
• Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked and functioning pastry station
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
• Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
• Continuously strive to improve and innovate pastry offerings, keeping up with industry trends and guest feedback
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef De Partie (Pastry) in a high-volume, fine dining establishment
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
• Experience with menu planning and recipe development
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• High attention to detail and organization
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary certifications for working on a cruise ship
