Chief Director: Government Motor Transport, Ref No. WCMD 40/2024 needed at Western Cape Government

Job Purpose    

• The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government (WCG) has an exciting employment opportunity for a suitable individual who would like to make a difference by providing government motor transport services.
• The successful incumbent must be able to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines. This post is stationed in Cape Town, CBD.

Minimum Requirements    

• An appropriate Degree (NQF 7) or higher qualification as recognised by SAQA; A minimum of 5 years experience at a Senior Managerial level; A valid driving licence/ Alternative mode of transport for a person with disabilities; Completion of Certificate for entry into the SMS (Senior Management Service) upon appointment.

Recommendation    

• Post-graduate qualification in Public Management/Financial Management.

• Line management will entail the following: Manage fleet services; Ensure effective financial management services for Government Motor Transport; Provide management support services; Strategic Management; People Management; Financial Management.
