• My client is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to drive financial excellence and long-term growth.
• Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is pivotal in shaping the company’s financial strategy, governance framework, and financial management systems while ensuring value creation for shareholders.
• This role is based in Midrand.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement a financial strategy that supports sustainable growth and shareholder value.
• Oversee the financial governance framework, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial insights to the Executive Committee, supporting strategic decision-making.

Financial Management & Operations

• Lead financial reporting, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Manage cash flow, ensuring optimal resource allocation for projects and operational expenses.
• Oversee month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations (WIP & revenue recognition), and tax compliance.
• Direct CAPEX planning and execution, ensuring financial efficiency in capital investments.
• Support the business with costing, pricing strategies, and financial analysis for tenders and new orders.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to financial policies, audit requirements, and statutory regulations.
• Lead the annual financial audit, working closely with external auditors.
• Maintain and oversee accurate record-keeping and financial documentation.

IT, Procurement & Stores Management

• Oversee internal and external IT functions, ensuring effective support systems.
• Lead the procurement function, balancing cost efficiency, risk management, and operational needs.
• Manage inventory control and ERP system utilization, ensuring accurate stock data and efficient store operations.

Requirements:

• BCom or Honours in Financial Accounting
• ACMA/CGMA designation is advantageous.
• Proven experience in a CFO or senior financial leadership role.
• Strong expertise in financial strategy, reporting, governance, and risk management.
• Experience in ERP systems, procurement, and IT oversight.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to financial management.
