Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief People Officer to lead the Human Resources function at an executive level.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall people strategy, aligning HR practices with organisational objectives, and ensuring the effective management of talent, performance, compliance, and organisational development.
  •  The role forms part of the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping organisational culture, workforce capability, and long-term business sustainability.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic HR leadership as part of the executive committee and contribute to overall business performance
  • Develop and implement integrated HR strategies aligned with organisational goals
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, succession planning, performance management, and learning and development
  • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on HR, people, and organisational matters
  • Ensure effective HR governance, policy development, and compliance with labour legislation and audit requirements
  • Lead HR sub-functions and ensure alignment across all HR disciplines including talent management, employee relations, and HR systems
  • Drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and capability development
  • Manage HR budgets, cost control, and resource optimisation
  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships across executive leadership, employees, and external partners
  • Drive employee engagement, culture development, and service excellence across the organisation
  • Oversee HR reporting, analytics, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or equivalent
  • MBA (advantageous)
  • Minimum 10 years’ HR experience in a complex organisational environment
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a senior executive or leadership HR role
  • Strong experience in strategic HR management, organisational development, and workforce planning
  • Solid understanding of labour legislation, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Experience in healthcare or large-scale operational environments (advantageous)
  • Expertise in HR strategy, talent management, performance management, and employee relations
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to operate at board and EXCO level
