Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief People Officer to lead the Human Resources function at an executive level.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the overall people strategy, aligning HR practices with organisational objectives, and ensuring the effective management of talent, performance, compliance, and organisational development.
- The role forms part of the executive leadership team and plays a critical role in shaping organisational culture, workforce capability, and long-term business sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic HR leadership as part of the executive committee and contribute to overall business performance
- Develop and implement integrated HR strategies aligned with organisational goals
- Oversee recruitment, retention, succession planning, performance management, and learning and development
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on HR, people, and organisational matters
- Ensure effective HR governance, policy development, and compliance with labour legislation and audit requirements
- Lead HR sub-functions and ensure alignment across all HR disciplines including talent management, employee relations, and HR systems
- Drive organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and capability development
- Manage HR budgets, cost control, and resource optimisation
- Strengthen stakeholder relationships across executive leadership, employees, and external partners
- Drive employee engagement, culture development, and service excellence across the organisation
- Oversee HR reporting, analytics, and business intelligence to support strategic decision-making
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business, or equivalent
- MBA (advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years’ HR experience in a complex organisational environment
- 3–5 years’ experience in a senior executive or leadership HR role
- Strong experience in strategic HR management, organisational development, and workforce planning
- Solid understanding of labour legislation, corporate governance, and compliance frameworks
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience
- Experience in healthcare or large-scale operational environments (advantageous)
- Expertise in HR strategy, talent management, performance management, and employee relations
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
- Ability to operate at board and EXCO level
