Chief Safety Officer needed at Hire Resolve

Description:

• Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Chief Safety Officer to join their mining company based in Limpopo. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all safety, risk, and compliance activities within your area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate safety inspections and internal audits.
• Monitor safety initiatives and risk control programmes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate incident investigations and compile accurate reports.
• Implement and manage risk control measures.
• Manage budgets and monitor costs related to safety operations.
• Coordinate and maintain OSHAS 18001 / ISO 9001 management systems.
• Oversee the training and development of employees in safety-related matters.
• Maintain accurate safety statistics and performance data.
• Liaise with external stakeholders and third-party service providers.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Degree or Diploma in Safety Management
• SAMTRAC
• Accident investigations (ICAM/RCAT/SCAT)
• Risk Management Training
• 5 years’ experience as a Safety Officer within the mining industry
• Valid Driver’s License
