Key Responsibilities:
- To produce accurate design documents that will ensure successful project execution.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures and systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and address non-conformances or deviations from quality standards, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Provide training and guidance to construction teams on quality standards and procedures.
- Ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications and relevant industry standards.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality goals are achieved.
- Oversee the daily operations on the construction site to ensure work is progressing as per the schedule and adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Broad knowledge of the EPCM model of project delivery including the activities, interfaces and interdependencies of all project disciplines (engineering, procurement, construction management and other project related disciplines)
Preferred
- A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
- Relevant experience in civil construction, particularly in earthworks and related areas, is essential.
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, construction standards, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in using quality control tools, software, and equipment.
- Ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Quality control and inspection experience with respect to fabrication and construction
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, document control, change management, project controls, safety, environmental, industrial relations, construction, resource and risk management
- Quality assurance experience with respect to project compliance and adherence to procedures and policies
- EPCM exposure.
