Clerk: Stores (Grading B2) Job at Gold One Group Limited

Job specification

• Grade 10, 11 or Matric certificate or equivalent with mathematics/ Mathematical Literacy
• Computer literacy with emphasis on excel
• Basic numeracy and accounting skills will be advantageous
• Interpersonal communication skills are required and essential
• Must be able to move and pack stock items with weight of least 20kg
• Studying towards a qualification in supply chain management will be advantageous
• Flexibility is required and essential (able to work cycle of shifts)
• Must be able to work underground
• Familiarity with ACCPAC, WMS and or any similar systems is a requirement
• Experience in the similar environment will be advantageous 
• 2-3 years in a mining or industrialized environment will be advantageous
• Demonstrate knowledge of stores procedures, documentation, filing and systems
• South African Citizenship
• Clear Criminal Record

 Responsibilities

• Provide support and best practices within Supply Chain Department
• Monitor stock levels daily and re-order when required
• Issuing of stock, stock taking and data capturing on the system(s) as well as receiving stock
• Communicate with supervisor (s) on any shortages of/ or damages to stock in order to maximize efficiency of supply chain
• Always take instructions from the supervisor(s) responsible for the shift
• Good housekeeping and adherence to stores procedures and policies as amended from time to time
• Participate in stock taking on a regular basis as required from time to time
• Performing regular cycle counts or annual stocktakes to reconcile physical stock with records
• Conduct all work according to required standards and specifications
• Manage and maintain area of responsibility in accordance with mine standard procedures, policies and practices
