• Record vehicle information accurately and legibly
• Follow Mine’s guidelines to maintain a safe working environment (i.e. speed limits, etc.)
• Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure the vehicle is in good working conditions
• Ensure timely conveyance of staff and materials to and from places as instructed by supervisor or the manager
• Ensure that vehicles are kept perfect and clean at all times by washing both the inside and outside parts of the vehicle to Perform daily cleaning and safety checks of vehicle
• Load and unload organizations merchandize o Precisely finish all paperwork connected with conveyance of merchandize Transport products, materials, and staff securely to areas where they are needed, ensure that products and staff are protected and secured Answer clients’ inquiries as far as possible

 Core Work Output

• Report any instance of mishap or accident to the dispatcher or supervisor
• Keep up a travel log to record areas travelled to, travel time, and work hours
• Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report to the employer or technician
• Perform some other undertakings like shopping, dropping, getting lunch, and running errands
• Perform periodic checks on vehicles, such as oil levels and water levels at appropriate time, as well as refueling the car(s).
• Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the supervisor or manager keep all records, including receipts for vehicle maintenance

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Good traffic judgement
• Good knowledge about car mechanics
• Valid driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
• Knowledge of the location of local mines, and preferred suppliers
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as driver with good driving record o Understanding of transportation law and safety
