Code 8 Driver/Messenger needed at SA Metal Group

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Day-to-day inspection and upkeep of the vehicle and to report any faults
• Delivery and collections of various packages, parcels or documentation
• Banking when necessary
• Various deliveries or collections between branches
• Various deliveries and collection of staff to offsite facilities including hospital, airport etc.
• Other collections or deliveries as requested by Directors
• Remittance Advices to SA Metal Customers
• Submission of tender documentation
• Renewal of licenses
• Registration and de-registration of vehicles
• Change of ownership of vehicles
• Payment of and delivery of representations to Traffic department for traffic fines
• In-Person reductions at State Prosecutors of the Courts (Summonses & Weighbridge Fines)
• Any queries that need to be done in person at the traffic department
• Maintaining good order of archiving for SA Metal and Waste Control
• Archiving and retrieving of documentation for various departments
• Abide by the regulations as set out in Occupational Health and Safety Act, Company policies and the regulations of the Road Traffic Act.

Qualifying Criteria:

• Grade 12 certificate
• Must have a valid, unendorsed driver’s license with a valid PRDP
• Atleast 8 years of similar experience
• Computer literate –MS office package proficiency
