College IsiXhosa Teacher needed at Reddam House Helderfontein

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes deep learning.
• To serve the community.
• Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, and standards of work.
• Consistently evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
• Continuously seek professional development.
• Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
• Be actively engaged in the afternoon programme for a minimum of two afternoons per week.
• Write informative report comments.
• To undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head / Deputy Head of Academics fairly determine.

• A minimum of three years’ experience Teaching IsiXhosa at a FET level (Gr10 – 12)
• The ability to teach another high school subject would be advantageous
• The ability to contribute to a high performing tea
• Previous experience with the IEB programme
• Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
• Appropriate legal right to work in a South African school
• University degree in an appropriate subject
