Commercial Farm Manager – Macadamia Job at Farm Managers SA

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• B.Sc. degree or Diploma in Agriculture, preferably related to plant production, is highly preferred
• A valid standard vehicle driving licence is required; a heavy vehicle driving licence will be advantageous
• Practical farm experience in harvesting, pruning and fertilisation is desirable
• Mechanical knowledge and practical mechanical ability will be advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Upkeep of farm road infrastructure
• Water reticulation
• Fence maintenance
• Fire breaks
• Dam and pump maintenance
• Building maintenance
• Access control
• Waste management
• Report to the Director as and when required
• Oversee maintenance of the three houses on the premises and all other farm buildings
• Train and supervise farm workers. The Farm Manager is ultimately responsible for the effective execution of all operational activities
• Keep the asset register accurate and up to date.
