Job Purpose:

  • The Concrete Technologist is responsible for the testing of prestress concrete to ensure the product conforms to specifications.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification:

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
  • 2. Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ relevant experience in a construction, ready-mix, or quarry environment.
  • Qualifications in Concrete Technology:  SCT 30 – Concrete Technologist Certification is essential. 

Technical Skills & Knowledge: 

  • Proven experience working within the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. 
  • Proficiency in cement mix design, including control of heat, weight, aggregate, cement, and water ratios to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Solid understanding of concrete laboratory testing procedures.

Computer Skills: 

  • Fully computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Language & Communication:

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with management and staff at all levels.

Personal Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • High attention to detail with the ability to report accurately and clearly.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06h00 – 15h30)
