Minimum Requirements:
- Completed a national degree or diploma in English, journalism or media studies.
- At least one years’ experience in content management and subbing.
- Must have a sound knowledge and passion of international and continental football, with a knowledge of clubs, leagues and players.

Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Manage content submitted by the journalists daily in line with the publications’ editorial approach.
- Evaluate all content of all articles to ensure accuracy and recommend modifications and changes to achieve all objectives and edit all articles to ensure achievement to all quality standards.
- Subbing and publishing of content within defined number of articles a day.
- Headline bolstering.
- Manage content performance and social reposts.
- Deliver on editorial commercial promotions.
- Publish content in line with the publications’ best practice.
- Manage the content for the editorial and sales campaigns.
- Management of the content reel.
- Social promotions on the respective social media platforms and/or standalone platforms.
- Work with the editor or journalists to draw up, implement and report on strategies to grow web traffic.
- Drive traffic to the websites.
- Ensure the implementation and improvement of SEO best practice in the content offering.
- Plan and manage the content daily with the team of journalists.
Functional tasks:
- Facilitate the individual team’s daily editorial plan.
- Align daily diary with the defined content plan.
- Identify and assist in the redesign of content plans to fit into market and reader behavioural changes.
- Plan and submit daily/ weekend handovers.
- Planning of the editorial week for approval of the editor.
- Adhere to deadline time frames set in place by the publication and/or the editor.
- Develop and up-skill journalist’s writing ability, style and creativity.
- Qualitative and analytical understanding of reports.
- Analysis of content performance and web traffic.
