Controller Cargo Security.INT ORT.Security – OHSA and Aviation (Safety / Security / Environment and Quality – SEQ)(Q23001) needed at Airports Company of South Africa Limited

 Key Performance Output

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Supervisor Cargo Security and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Contribute towards a safe and secure general aviation environment.
• Manage time and attendance and conduct resource planning.
• Ensure that all personnel files are kept up to date.
• Perform briefing sessions at the start of shifts.
• Attend Operations meetings and provide feedback as required.
• Ensure compliance and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including regulatory registers.
• Detect, investigate and report all Security incidents/deficiencies and non-conformances.
• Detect, prevent and report crime prevention initiatives by actively combating all criminally inclined acts.
• Maintain logs and reports on security operations and suspicious findings.
• Attend court proceedings where necessary.
• Report, follow-up and provide timeous feedback on all incidents and accidents.
• Compile relevant reports.
• Ensure all internal and external Stakeholders comply with Security policies and procedures.
• Ensure contract management in line with Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Monitor and report equipment functionality in line with Service Level Agreement (SLA).
• Attend and assist with customer and stakeholder complaints and compliments, including escalation of complaints.
• Collaboration with all law enforcement, regulators and local security companies.
• Respond to all emergencies in the prescribed manner and ensure that the team is able to respond adequately.

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

• Diploma in Relevant Security Management is essential. 
• National Senior Certificate: Grade 12 is essential.
• PSIRA Grade C
• 3 years’ operational experience in Security is essential.
• MS Office proficiency.
• South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Basic Aviation Security (AVSEC) Certification.
• National Key Point (NKP) Certification.
