Role Summary

  • To sell PERI formwork and scaffolding solutions to external customers over the counter. To ensure excellent customer service by being the Sales Consultants’ communication link in the office by preparing quotations accurately, liaising with customers, following-up on queries, doing site reconciliations, and performing a co-ordination role between the sales-, operations department, and drawing office.
  • To capture data accurately on electronic system in liaison with Branch Administrator. To answer the telephone and receive customers in reception in a manner that supports all PERI values.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • To communicate professionally and effectively with external customers i.t.o. orders, stock, pricing, deliveries, queries, etc. keeping the Representative, Yard Manager, Order Management Manager and Sales Manager informed.
  • Answer the telephone and emails promptly and receive guests in the reception area in a friendly, helpful way, and solve queries efficiently by taking messages in a professional manner.
  • Prepare quotations using accurate information, quantities, dates and prices.
  • Provide accurate reports on stock, back-orders, and damage charges.
  • Process damage charges by facilitating photographs of damaged stock, keeping sales consultants and customers informed.
  • Assist order management with month-end procedures.
  • Check stock and transport availability with the demand planning team on receipt of orders, keeping sales informed.
  • Create prospective customers on the system and create project structure.
