A Challenging opportunity has become for self motivated, highly driven, and innovative individual to join Grindrod Logistics (pty) Ltd.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Submit daily cash forecast for payment.
• Processing invoices and credit note
• Manual allocation of payments on an ad-hoc basis
• Receiving of suppliers statement and invoices
• Reconciliation of statement to creditor’s age analysis.
• Liaising with suppliers and sites regarding discrepancies and queries on reconciliations 
• Prepare payment proposal.
• Actioning payment run to transfer files to the bank and generating remittances. 
• Assisting with audits (internal and external).
• Assisting sites with queries and ad hoc payments when required. 
• preparation of balance sheet accounts at month-end
• Following up outstanding or unresolved queries.

Requirements

We invite applications from candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:

Qualifications

• Matric with advanced computer literacy (Advanced Microsoft office package).
• Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Bookkeeping.
• 3 years experience in creditor’s environment.
• SAP accounting system

• Deadline driven 
• Ability to work under pressure and have a quick turnaround time
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Sound knowledge of computer systems and software packages.
