Mission

  • To maintain and increase market share and profitability, support the company’s policies and procedures, receivables, stock holding, sales targets, territory management and customer support. 
  • The Role will be based in Steelpoort.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and increase market share and profitability
  • Professional and highly motivated to maintain and increase market share and profitability for Rock Drilling Tools.
  • Endeavour to enlist new customers.
  • Supporting the companies’ policies and procedures
  • Assist with collection of outstanding monies due from sales.
  • Ensure correct forecast per warehouse is established.
  • Forecasting – Ordering of correct products for weekly stock replenishing.
  • Follow up on new orders, deliveries, and back orders.
  • Regular update of receipts and stock issues. (Documentation).
  • Reconciling of stock in warehouse – monthly verification.
  • Managing and reconciling of stock in warehouse.
  • Reconciling of figures for invoicing.
  • Monthly update of Drilling Efficiencies Statistics.
  • Present realistic target for monthly/annual sales for approval.
  • Intimate knowledge of Market share in area.
  • Monthly reporting to product managers of developments in area.
  • Ensuring continuous customer support regarding product performance.
  • Continuous follow-up and after sales service
  • Correct pricing structures to be applied (outright / contract)
  • Quotations to customers to be approved by management.
  • Product presentations to new and existing customers to promote product.
  • Liaison with customer on new products and designs.
  • All new products or design change requests to be forwarded to Product Manager.
  • Liaise with customers regarding product related queries. (claims / non-performance)

Competences, Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years exposure to the sales and business development environments of the drilling / mining industry
  • U/G mining drilling experience. (supervisory level, i.e. shift supervisor / Drill Master or blasting ticket)
  • Extensive rock tools knowledge.
  • Knowledge of correct applications of products.
  • Require medical fitness certificates.
  • Ability to write detailed and comprehensive reports (monthly)
  • Able to work without supervision and be a team player.
  • Good communication skills and customer focused and be presentable on all levels.
  • Computer Literacy
  • Valid driver’s license.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering and / or commerce or business administration will be highly regarded.
