Data Analyst needed at AfroCentric Group

Job Purpose:

• The Human Capital (HC) Data Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing our team’s efficiency and effectiveness. This position is essential for improving data quality and integrity, streamlining reporting processes, and enabling more strategic, data-driven decision-making. By focusing on data cleaning, preparation, exploration, analysis, and visualization, the HC Data Analyst will address current issues of fragmented data and low data integrity. This role will take over onerous and transactional reporting tasks from the Center of Excellence (COE), freeing up valuable time for other team members to focus on strategic activities. Ultimately, the HC Data Analyst will provide valuable insights that inform decision-making processes and create clear, actionable visualizations to support data-driven discussions and decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Cleaning and Preparation: Ensure datasets are accurate, complete, and ready for analysis by filtering data, handling missing values, and preparing datasets.
• Data Exploration and Analysis: Utilize statistical tools and techniques to explore and analyze data, identifying patterns, relationships, and trends.
• Data Visualization: Create clear and actionable visual representations of data findings through charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Reporting: Prepare and present baseline reports to stakeholders, including monthly and quarterly reports to Sanlam.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with HC, other business teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Contribution to HC-Related Technology Projects: Actively participate in human capital-related technology projects, collaborating with IT and HR teams.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4 (Essential)
• Diploma / NQF level 6 in Data Analysis Tools and Techniques (Essential)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics (Recommended)
• Experience:
• 3+ years of operational experience with Excel, data analysis, and data visualization tools (Essential)
• 2+ years of experience in human resources knowledge (Advantageous)
